Hip-hop mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ life has taken quite a turn over the last year. He first came under fire in 2023 when his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, accused him of years of physical and sexual assault. And in 2024, footage was released that showed Diddy beating Cassie up in a hotel hallway.
By late 2024, Diddy had been arrested on charges including racketeering and sex trafficking, and he’s now sitting in jail while he awaits trial. For years, celebrities were involved with Diddy, but he certainly had a couple of rivals — one being rapper 50 cent. And 50 said that Diddy made him “uncomfortable” after one specific incident that happened years ago.
50 Cent recalled an ‘uncomfortable’ moment when Diddy wanted to take him shopping
50’s beef with Diddy stems far back to when the two were just starting out in the industry. Although they weren’t friends, things were fine between the two at first. But in a 2006 song “The Bomb,” 50 accused Diddy of being involved in Biggie’s murder, which is what started a years-long feud between the two.
50 later recalled an event that happened in the early 2000s, which made him realize he didn’t want to be associated with Diddy.
“He asked to take me shopping,” 50 said in a 2024 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, recounting the incident. “I thought that was the weirdest sh** in the world because that might be something that a man says to a woman,” he said. “And I’m just like, ‘Naw, I’m not f***ing with this weird energy or weird sh**,’ coming off the way he was just moving. From that, I wasn’t comfortable around him.”

50 has spoken out about the accusations against Diddy, and he’s doubled down on a couple of things. He wasn’t comfortable around him, and he never attended any of Diddy’s parties.
“I didn’t ever party or hang out with him,” 50 said. “I see people that were taken advantage of, who produced things that he took from them … He’s been able to take advantage of the business and the creatives in it.”
50 also went on to say that he believes the reason more people aren’t speaking up is because they don’t know what’s on tape and what’s not. “They might have had too much fun,” 50 said of some of the rappers and other celebrities who aren’t speaking out. “And then you’ve got other people who look and go, ‘Well, that’s not my business and I don’t want to be in it.’”
